Paul Steindl began his career in television after leaving school in Campbelltown NSW.
He travelled to Britain to further his education. He gained work as a production assistant with the BBC on the current affairs program "Midweek" hosted by Ludovic Kennedy.
After five years of living in London and Europe he returned to Australia to take up work at the Seven Network. There he was involved in a number of production jobs, working on documentaries and news specials.
He moved into the Seven newsroom, learning to cope with the daily pressure of newsgathering and story delivery.
After eight years at Seven he moved to Nine to work on the Sunday program firstly as an editor, then producer, then Supervising Producer and finally, Executive Producer.
Along the way he was rewarded with several media awards including Walkley nominations, a U.N. Peace prize and several New York Festival awards.
Last year he moved onto Nine's flagship program, Sixty Minutes.
