60 Minutes Executive Producer, Hamish Thomson, has extensive experience across the media spectrum - in print, radio and television.
His career began in newspapers at News Limited's Daily Telegraph and The Australian where he did his cadetship and then had various writing and sub-editing roles. This was followed by several years at Perth's Sunday newspapers, The Sunday Times and the now-defunct Sunday Independent.
From print, he moved to radio - as producer of Melbourne's 3AW Drive program at a time when the program had record ratings.
Hamish then returned to his hometown of Sydney where he started his own publishing venture.
In 1994, he moved into television at 60 Minutes, starting out as a researcher. He was appointed Supervising Producer in 2006.
Hamish was appoined Executive Producer of 60 Minutes in August 2007
